About the event
Does your agency have an adopted SOP manual and policies? When was it last updated? Due to red tape and staff turnover, there are many reasons why SOP’s do not get regularly checked or updated. This course will discuss how to go from 0 to 100 by laying out a roadmap to get you across the finish line. Whether you are a team of one or you have a department of 200, you need to have a current SOP in place. When an agency has effective operating procedures and policies, they operate more efficiently and it provides a structure for all team members. Join us for this 2-hour course to get caught up to the present needs of the profession!
Course Includes:
· What is an effective SOP?
· Roles of the employer and management (IIPP, accountability, & structure)
· Incorporating a “Field Training” component
· Steps to draft or update a SOP
· Code Amendments
· City policies vs. internal division policies
· Review examples
Earns 2.0 CEU’s from CACEO and 0.2 CEU’s from ICC.
