Bobby D. Evans

ACO Evans, 46, was checking a report of stray dogs when he observed James Terry Ramirez, 45, and David Glen Newland, 45, scouring an overgrown site for a duffel bag. The bag contained an anhydrous ammonia tank and other items used to manufacture methamphetamine. When the men saw Evans, they followed him to the shelter and shot him. Ramirez and Newland were sentenced to life without parole, plus an additional 20 year prison sentence.
