Charles "Chip" Case

Charles, 41, had only been with Code Enforcement for two months after switching over from Animal Control. He served two combat tours in Afghanistan and retired from the United States Army. Charles went to the property to conduct an inspection. He sat in his truck and the suspect came out of the house and fired multiple rounds. Bystanders in the neighborhood tried to assist but he unfortunately passed away prior to arriving at the hospital. A 20-hour manhunt over multiple counties and law enforcement agencies led to the capture of the suspect, Alvin Henderson. Charles leaves behind a wife and two young children.
