Deepal R. Kumara

Public Health Inspector Deepal R. Kumara was shot dead in front of his residence in a case of mistaken identity. According to reports, he was inadvertently shot instead of a police officer who lived nearby. A suspect was arrested and found in possession of a T-56 firearm used to shoot the inspector. Additionally, a woman and her boyfriend were arrested on suspicion of plotting the murder. The shooter was a hitman who during an interrogation admitted that he had accepted a contract to kill a police officer. The house of the police officer and the house of the inspector are located adjacent to each other.
