James Madden

Building Inspector Madden was shot and killed by a restaurant owner who mistook him and two policemen for a group of robbers. The police officers were pursuing a suspect through an alley when they fired at the restaurant owner. Suspects: Crawford Wilson, 40 and William Price, 49 were acquitted of murder charges.
