Dog Catcher Polano, 33, was walking down a street when two brothers were returning from a local tavern. The brothers got into a dispute with Polano over the impounding of their dog. During the fight, one of the brothers, Howard Litzenberger, struck Polano in the head with a baseball bat which fractured his skull. Polano died the following day. The Litzenberger brothers were arrested and charged with murder, claiming self-defense. Disposition unknown.
