Mickey Wright

Wright went to a car lot to issue a citation for operating an illegal business owner. The owner, Dale Mardis, shot Wright to death, dismembered Wright’s body, and disposed of the remains by burning it and crushing it in a junkyard car. The killing was racially motivated. Dale Mardis was sentenced to life in prison. He was also charged with murdering another person three years prior to Wright's death.
