Tim Sun

Tim Sun is the Founding Vice President of the Code Enforcement Officer Safety Foundation from 2020-2024. Previously in 2024, Tim was elected by the Board of Directors to serve as President. In 2025, Tim was again elected as Vice President.
Tim served for several years on his state association Board of Directors and as Chair of their Officer Safety Committee. After the 2018 murder of Code Enforcement Officer Jill Robinson in Utah, Tim started a Code Enforcement safety fund through GoFundMe to raise money for body armor. Through his state association he helped push Senate Bill 296 (CA) to further help officer safety in Code Enforcement. It was his goal to create a 501c3 nonprofit Foundation on the national level.
He has over 20 years of experience in Code Enforcement and is currently a Code Enforcement Manager in California. He enjoys serving as an Officer Safety Instructor for the state association and travels the country instructing at conferences on selfdefense, de-escalation, and verbal judo among other topics.
